Iwo Panasiewicz (b. 1997 in Cracow, PL) builds crude, ascetic sceneries where the restraint of form and precision of perspective meet a non-linear narrative. Having transitioned from a background in 3D design and virtual spaces to the “radically analogue” realm, he explores the tension between Medieval iconography and the structural logic of computer games. His practice is defined by self-imposed limitations, reducing tools to pencil and paper to reach a concentrated point of visibility.
In his recent works, subtle colors emerge from a tonal gray, creating atmospheres that function as both “gaps and cracks” in reality and meticulous architectural echoes.
